Only seven months – but thousands of memories for life

At the end of July 2018 I started my adventure in London as a digital marketing intern. Of course with great anticipation.

I knew my stay abroad will be great because I felt very good prepared and ready with the help from Birkenvale.

When I came to London I became a part of the team very quickly and I got used to the big city life very fast – I was happier than ever.

At the end of September I had a pretty bad down... But in the end I'm actually very glad I had such a down. It helped me with my personal development and I got to know myself a lot better. Among other things, I have now become much more independent and have noticed how beautiful and important it is to be able to spend time with myself - in the meantime it has become such a big privilege spending me-time.

During my internship I not only developed personally but also in my professional life. I was able to learn a lot of new things and also improve my language. This internship will certainly be useful to me in the future - not only because of the task I have learnt itself, but also because of I got to know the way of working in another country than Switzerland.

In my freetime I got to know London and the surrounding area. My all time favourite thing to do was visiting galleries. I was definitely never bored!

With a heavy heart I have now left London. I would have loved to stay, but I already have my next goal in mind and want to chase this now. Besides, I can still return at a later time.

Finally I would like to say that on the this whole experience abroad was one of my best decisions so far in life. I can only recommend it to everyone!
